Here is what I need in more details.
I'd like to split the project into these two phases.
Project Phase 1: Design and configuration of current Joomla 3.2.2. in development.
Familiarize yourself with [url removed, login to view] for how this component works
Dto. for the Smart Slider 2: [url removed, login to view]
See attached documentation for the JSN Yoyo template we use.
As a general example you can use www.hulu.com. That looks slick, nice and clean and obviously has a proven user experience
That said I don't like the current frames around the modules with the round edges.
Keep the right column on all pages
I like the fonts used by [url removed, login to view]
Use the colors green, gray, black and white as is
Change top slider so it works like on www.watchever.de. Full width, autosliding. This is also a good example of how the slider and top menu can look. (ignore the "Einloggen" and "Service Center" on the top right of watchever.)
Put in two sample slides, one text with image, one text with video (See [url removed, login to view] for example)
Make footer menu in four columns
Make sure to keep the responsiveness of the template
Configure the following hwdmediashare modules to look all the same with the following content, one of each is fine as sample, I will then myself be able to copy them, change the content and assign them to Menu items. Get rid of all the rating, author, creation date, etc. fields. I only need thumbnail, video length and the first three lines of the description truncated under the thumb and of course the title above the thumb. (FYI: We only support horizontal 16:9 thumbs)
a Youtube user channel (use user CosmicCineEN)
On the home page please arrange those nicely so that all show
a Vimeo user channel (use user Greenpeace)
Assign each of those to test menu items to view. I will rearrange them myself to my needs
German language template needs the [url removed, login to view] logo instead of [url removed, login to view] but should say somewhere near "Ein Portal der [url removed, login to view] Media Foundation"
Question: can we configure so that German language pages has different template colors?
The "Contact Us" form should look nicer according to the rest of the site design.
The FAQ page is awful. Please get rid of the icons and make it look nice alltogether.
When you create graphics please provide native files in case we need to do changes on them ourselves sometime in the future.
Don't worry about the buttons under the video player in the old version for now. I have to think about it.
If you have suggestions to change more to make nice, feel free to send me and I am happy to take a look.
Project Phase 2: Transfer content from old [url removed, login to view] into German language portion of new 3.2.2 dev.
Copy all articles and K2 items to new site (assigned to German language)
Transfer the Newsletter module (upper right under top slider) into new site for german (this is a html wrapper with special code for Cleverreach newsletter service provider)
Please do not change source code, only change in configuration and CSS.
I suggest to duplicate the current template so we can always switch between old and new.
So what do you think? I don't think anything of those items or tricky or hard.
