We are looking for a programmer to create a database with the following requirements:
Database will be used to track a vehicle electronic device from point of manufacturer to sale, as well as the sale of a related vehicle warranty product. Initially the database should be able to receive blocks of sequential or non-sequential serial numbers as datafiles and create specific Unit Files for each specified serial number corresponding to a specific vehicle electronic device at the time of final assembly/production. Upon the sale of a Unit and the registration of an end user by the dealer through the registration template on our online dealer login page at our .net website, the database will harvest the customer and unit registration information and automatically deposit it in the correct original Unit file by serial number for later access and retrieval. It will simultaneously feed back all of the correct point of purchase forms to the dealer containing the correct customer information and serial number based on the output from the now-completed Unit file for the unit registered by that customer. We should be able to access unit files, or groups of such files, by any given parameter or set of parameters. These files should be able to be automatically transmitted as text files to our warranty company. Distributors and dealers should be able to log in via a login page and track, review or print records of any of their sales. The maximum time allowed for this project is 3 weeks from the start date. Further specifics and details can be supplied upon request upon execution of a Confidentiality Agreement.
