Help develop the software industry in Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro

We want to help develop and promote the software development industry in Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro. We are looking for the top 15 ideas from Rentacoder members on how to succeed as a newcomer in online markets. We want your expertise on what works and doesn't work for you, when you bid on Rent a Coder. In exchange, not only will you be **paid** to help your fellow countrymen (a US$25-50 fee plus eligibility for a bonus described below), but you will also be included in a CD that will be circulated to leading universities. You will also be given special recognition for your contribution (including your photo, RAC Screen name and bio) on the USAID Virtual Incubator portal. Additionally, you can display the attached logo in your RAC profile along with the phrase "My expertise in delivering highly-rated projects was tapped by USAID's Regional Competitiveness Initiative in its web portal to share information industry best practices in my home country of ". ## Deliverables Who are we? ------------ USAID provides economic assistance and development to more than 100 countries (<[login to view URL]>). USAID's Regional Competitiveness Initiative is partnering with Openworld (<[login to view URL]>) to assist SouthEeastern Europe by creating a "Virtual Business Incubator" web portal and CD that will be promoted extensively in university and business communities. What do we want? ------------------ Your bid can be in the form of a brief 1-2 sentence summary of the advice you would like to offer. If the idea is accepted, we will engage you to expand upon your idea in a brief audio- or video-narrated Powerpoint presentation on your experiences and key factors for successful entry into online markets. We have prepared a standard Virtual Incubator Powerpoint profile template in "question-and-answer" format for this presentation. Specific tips are provided in the Notes field of each slide to help in briefly answering the key questions. You will be paid: - US$50 upon completion and acceptance of the video-narrated version of the standard Powerpoint presentation, or - US$25 for completion and acceptance of the audio-narrated version of the standard Powerpoint presentation. In addition, a bonus will be earned in the event that your presentation receives the most votes as "Exemplary Resource" by registered users of the Virtual Business incubator. The bonus will be: - $100 for the audio-narrated presentation chosen as most valuable by VBI users; and - $250 for the video-narrated presentation chosen as most valuable by VBI users. Ownership rights to the deliverables created for the Virtual Business Incubator (including the audio/video files) will rest with USAID's Regional Competitiveness Initiative and/or its assigns.
