simple c++ program

I would like someone to write code in c/c++ to determine if the printer has duplex, is color printer. It should actually use these techniques:- 1) It should try to communicate with the printer hardware and figure out if they have those characteristics. 2) If step (1) fails, it should actually figure out using software techniques, DEVMODE, printer driver. I need the resultant program to be thoroughly tested.
