Read/Write to MS Access and Oracle via ODBC using C/C++

I have an ONC RPC C application I wrote originally on IBM iSeries (AS400) which sends requests to a Unix box. I ported the C code to Windows. It now reads and writes to text files. I need it to read and write to a MS Access MDB using ODBC for testing and final will be to an Oracle DB using ODBC. I have a valid ODBC connection as I can read both with VB6. I would like the code to straight code without all of the stuff generated by the MFC generator in VS6.
