# OCR experts# Hello there, This is Shree from Colan, We are working on one of client’s project called Digidoc, where the objective of the project is to manage the documents upload, using Tessaract engine need to do the OCR, pattern matching, zonal template and pushing the data to an accounting ERP thru SDK. We have experimented with the following: 1. Directly feed the Images and PDF document to Tessaract. 2. Pre-processing before the tessaract, the preprocessing involved the following: a. Upgrading any of PDF version to latest version 1.7 b. Converting to TIFF format c. Scaling to 300 DPI d. Increasing Contrast e. Reducing Noise using OpenCV & BoofCV f. Grey Scaling to B&W image g.
