We are evaluating Syncthing ([login to view URL]) as a file sharing solution connected to a backend DMS system of us. We understand that Syncthing does the file sharing for all shared folders between connected devices. What we need is that SyncThing (i.e. ST Discovery Server) shares only one specific folder for each connected device You should help us answer the question: Is SyncThing the right tool for achieving this?

Hi, I have over a decade experience in designing and assessing solutions for client IT requirements, from CMS and DMS systems through to line of business apps like SAP, Pronto based or D3/Pick systems (and more). I've had a number of clients need to solve similar issues to what you outline and have a pretty decent grasp of the usual problem domain and the feature sets and suitability of both paid and non-paid solutions, including SyncThing. Happy to spend some time having a chat with you, assessing your needs, and writing up a report on the suitability of SyncThing for your needs along with alternate options and suitability. I can also give you an idea of ongoing costs, maintenance requirements, future expandibility etc for the options on the table. Once you have a preferred option, we can also discuss whether you'd like me to assist in implementation (which isn't covered in this job). Thanks!
