Centos 7.0 Admin Need

I do have a Centos Virtual Machine on Vmware and i need someone to do below tasks before i Convert my VM into a template:

Navigate to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ and edit the file ifcfg-eth0

Change the following parameters to these values:

• ONBOOT=yes

• oNM_CONTROLLED=no

• BOOTPROTO=static

Add the following lines:

• IPADDR=[login to view URL]

• NETMASK=[login to view URL]

• GATEWAY=[login to view URL]

• DNS1=[login to view URL]

• DNS2=[login to view URL]

Restart the network service by executing the command:

[root@localhost]# /etc/init.d/network restart

Install OS updates and Application packages updates by executing the command:

[root@localhost]# yum update (Optionally)

Optionally, install and configure additional software packages, i.e.:

[root@localhost]# yum install bind-utils traceroute –y

Reboot the VM

Install VMware Tools

Logon to VM and install prerequisite packages and software:

[root@localhost]# yum install perl gcc make –y

Reboot the VM

Mount the installer image:

[root@localhost]# mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt

Copy the installer files to a temporary location and run the installation script:

[root@localhost]# cd /mnt [root@localhost]# cp [login to view URL] /tmp [root@localhost]# cd /tmp [root@localhost]# tar xzvf [login to view URL] [root@localhost]# cd vmware-tools-distrib/ [root@localhost]# ./[login to view URL] -d Follow the instructions and provide default values unless otherwise required.

Unmount CD/DVD [root@localhost]# umount /mnt

Reboot the VM

Create an internal support user with admin privileges (cloudsupport)

Grant certain security privileges to root and cloudsupport accounts by running the visudo command

[root@localhost]# visudo

Add the following lines:

• spsupport ALL=(root) NOPASSWD:ALL

• Defaults:root !requiretty

• Defaults:cloudsupport !requiretty

Copy custom disk extension scripts to the appropriate locations as follows:

The scripts [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] must be copied to /usr/local/sbin

The script [login to view URL] must be copied to /etc/rc.d (overwrite existing file- and I will provide that script)

Apply 755 permissions to all scripts by running the appropriate chmod command

Navigate to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ and edit the file ifcfg-eth0 Remove the line that contains the following parameter:

• HWADDR

Remove the following files:

• [login to view URL] [root@localhost]# rm -rf /etc/udev/rules.d/[login to view URL]

• SSH Keys [root@localhost]# rm -rf /etc/ssh/ssh_host_*

• Temporary files

[root@localhost]# rm -rf /tmp/*

Final Cleanup

Clear wtmp file

[root@localhost]# > /var/log/wtmp

Clear shell history

[root@localhost]# history -c

This job will not take more than 20 mints for an Linux admin
