I currently have an excel spreadsheet where I run a macro to find the best possible combinations, I think the total number is 144 Million different combinations. I need to run through all these combinations(Cells H3-N3) to figure out the best possible combinations(finding which combination leads to the best ranking correlation(Cell R2)) for finding historical data points. If you look at my attached spreadsheet you can see on sheet Organized when you run the Get Combinations button, it slowly starts to calculate the combinations and I get anywhere from 8-12 combinations a second. I need this to be around 300-400 combinations a second. Maybe its possible to ingest the excel document in Java and run it from memory or possibly another method. I am very open to whatever will produce the best results and fastest combinations.

Hi Excel is extremely slow at doing individual cell reading/writing value. I've done bulk cell operations in the past tha can accelerate up to 1000x, don't know if this is a case in which bulk operations can be done. Just a few people know how to do bulks operations in Excel, you have to deal with memory arrays etc. One question, how frequently is the data in the sheets updated? and how is updated through another app? is this file somenthing that you get as a whole everyday?
