I have already converted the file that was on We transfer and I can convert all files in just a couple of minutes. Size of the new jpg file is 4.8 MB and resolution is the same as the original (6000x4000). Please, send me your email and I can send you back this pic so that you can check it out. This should be a simple task. A small script could be written to execute ImageMagick commands to convert the CR2 files to JPG. We should be able to preserve the resolutions, also.
