Hello there!
To begin with, congratulations on choosing to make a feature film about redemption, second chances and having the courage to break away from a seemingly impossible situation.
I've been a writer in India since 2010, having written for over eight Tv shows, both non-fiction and fiction, as well as having written two feature film screenplays, one of which is currently in production. I also recently completed a one and a half year Screenwriting: Film and Tv Comprehensive program at UCLA.
I think your subject has a lot of meat that will make an engaging, enjoyable script. I'd love to know more about it, but from the surface, I can already see the three Acts of the film. How our Russian protagonist arrives in America, beautiful and the world at her feet, to discovering first hand that everything isn't quite as rosy as it initially seemed, to finding herself in the middle of a living nightmare, with no way out and finally, escaping from the golden prison she was trapped in and finding love and hope in a simpler place.
Films with female protagonists and offering the female perspective are in great demand in today's market, and I think her story is quite relatable in many ways. This story potentially offers an in-depth character study as well.
Feel free to ask me if you have any queries, or if you need any specific samples.
In any case, all the very best for your film. It's an exciting story and I'm positive people would love to watch it when it's made.
