Experienced Node and Mongo Developer with at least 5 years of experience in complex projects

We are looking for a backend developer with an architectural vision and a contributor that doesn't like to restrict himself/herself only to the assigned tasks. The initial task would be code review and refactor and implement microservice and onion architecture and then start working on new features. Must have: * At least 5+ years of experience working with complex project * Highly proficient with Nodejs, [login to view URL], and Typescript * Strong experience with MongoDB * Have a clear understanding of Object-oriented programming (OOP) * Understanding of code sharing and merging via git * Understanding of Azure Dev Ops and Pipeline * Integration experience with RESTful services * Experience writing modular, scalable code and implementation of microservices * Experience and knowledge of Typescript Must be available for 40 hours plus Must start at 3 pm NZT Nice to have: * Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Board, Repos, Pipeline and Test Manager * Advance knowledge for Ubuntu and CentOS * Advance knowledge for Nginx * Ability to lead a team of developers * Ability to review and refactor code * Ownership of project Objectives of this Role * Work across the entire stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth. * Collaborate with a global team of developers to design end-to-end, industry-leading systems and solutions. * Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements * Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design * Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing ongoing learning opportunities. * Research and develop new web and mobile technology applications to improve the user interface. Daily Responsibilities * Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation and deployment * Develop new features, enhance existing ones, implement bug fixes in existing code, and do code reviews. * Work primarily in Node, Angular and Mongo * Conduct peer reviews and give actionable feedback * Collaborate across time zones via Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and DevOps Tools * Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience * 5+ years of experience in web development. * Exceptional communication, organisation and leadership skills * Have a clear understanding of Object-oriented programming (OOP). * Write clean, self-explanatory code using SOLID principles and design patterns. * Have strong knowledge of core programming skills, algorithms and data structures. * Excellent debugging and optimisation skills * Knowledge of client and server-side applications using modern frameworks like Node, Angular and React * Unit/integration testing experience is a plus. * Desire to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities.
