I need to create a contact management system in excel. I attend a lot of meetings and meet a lot of different people and i want to keep everything up to date in an excel file. I want the database to be easily updated and added to. This means i want to create forms where i can easily enter in the information. I have already started most of the work and have included examples of what i want in the attachments. Please look at the attachments to understand what i am trying to do. 1. Enter Contact information of the people i meet with 2. Enter Meeting information about the people i meet with 3. Filter this information and create reports from it 4. Be able to export the filtered information I have included all the current criteria i can think of however, i would like to leave some spaces open so in the future if i think of additional criteria i can add to the forms and the database. Also i need to be able to add other places in addition to the spaces left open. I want the forms to prompt for an entry based upon the first 3 letters of what i type. For example, if i already have the company 'General Electric' input from a previous meeting, when i begin typing 'Gen', it will prompt me to fill it with 'General Electric' Also, for the meeting section, if i already have the contact in the database, it will populate their information once i enter in their name. if i don't have them in the contact section, there will be a spot on the ' Add Meeting' form where i can click to go to the 'Add contact form'. Once i have added the contact information and meeting information (which will include notes on the meeting) i want to be able to create a report from certain criteria i choose (i.e. create a report about all the meetings i have had with 'Bob Smith'). I should be able to export this to word or print it easily straight from excel. I also want to be able to export to a new excel file, several different peoples contact information based upon certain criteria. For example, i would filter based upon company, an event, or a time period. From that filter i need to export those contacts to a new excel file. Additional issues you need to be mindful of: 1. There may be several representatives from one company who attend a meeting. 2. I need an easy way to update the contact information (for example if someone switches jobs). 3. I need a way to easily delete a contact/ email address. For example, search for the email address and once it finds that person, there is a button to delete that contact. 4. I want to be able to automatically save the file with today's date and if it has already been saved once today to add increasing values for version for example 'ver. 1' then 'ver. 2' then 'ver. 3' etc. 5. I want a way to save your input while you are putting stuff in the form? 6. I want a way to reopen a form once you have already submitted it and continue to add data into it? 7. I want a button to export the data of a contact/meeting 8. I want a button to import the data of a contact/meeting which was previously exported The files i have attached: Form [login to view URL] This form IS NOT COMPLETE. This is just an example of what i want it to look like. It needs to be cleaned up and make sure to include all the criteria in the form and link it to the database. There should be forms and buttons and a master database and output to reports which can also be exported. Attached: [login to view URL] This is some of the criteria i want to you. Please also include blank spaces and a way to add to this criteria in the future.
