I have vast experience in typing verbatim police witness interviews which were to be used as evidence in court. I did this as a full-time job for an office-based firm called AVR, but have recently decided to go freelance instead as, being quite an introvert, I prefer to work from home where I am away from the distractions of the busy office environment.
I have a typing speed of around 85wpm with 100% accuracy, as well as A grades in both GCSE and A Level English Language, and also a degree in English with Media Writing. I can therefore guarantee perfect spelling and grammar, at a higher standard than most people who claim to have excellent standards of English. I was required to pass several English Language and typing tests to gain employment with AVR, and was also subject to regular auditing of work, both in-house and via the Crown Prosecution Service.
I am desperately looking to build up a client base of my own in order to make self-employment a viable option for me. I work from home in my own office, with no distractions or interruptions, and so if I agree a timescale, I can guarantee that this will be adhered to.
I may not offer the cheapest rate, but this is as I am not a student looking for some extra cash, and rather a 34 year old professionally trained transcriber who takes a great deal of pride in their work, I believe this is a fair rate to request for the standard of work you will receive.
