Hi, I have worked many distance sensors before for counter project. In my opinion there is better distance sensor than HCSR-04 coz it is too rude. I would prefer to use VLX sensor( World smallest Time-of-Flight (ToF) ranging sensor) but also it depend on your active distance area. All the BEST, Ali SERBETCI

Hello kindly i would like to have more info about the following points 1- Required Sensing Distance 2- Target Production Cost (Unit Cost) and at which Quantity 3- Max Size 4- Do you need help with the firmware or just the sensor 5- 2.7 to 3.3 is relatively low for such application , so i have to use boost converter to provide that range (Do you have any constrains on using Boost converters ?) Hello, I'm a mechanical and instrumentation engineer from Canada. I have extensive experience in designing and fabricating measuring systems for object detection, measure the dimensions, temperature, pressure etc. I'm proficient in Arduino, raspberry pi, PLCs etc. As you mentioned in the project description that you can't use off the shelf so I could make a sensor similar to HC-SR04 or URM04. If you require having a micro-controller from the scratch as well, I can use the ATmega 328P from the scratch or an alternative. If you would like me to send you the finished sensor and the microcontroller board I can most definitely do that for you and have it couriered to you as well.
