We have one server where memcached is installed and is being used by an E-Commerce application for multiple websites on this shared hosting server. The memcached process is using a LOT of server CPU resources but also the response times for sites that are using it are a lot slower than when they are switched to use the default disk files caching method. We need somebody with an in depth knowledge on memcached who can diagnose whether this is an installation / configuration issue with memcached itself or whether it is the way that the E-Commerce application is using memcached that is causing this. We have phpMemcacheAdmin and also memcache-top installed for diagnostic and monitoring purposes. Due to the level of server access required, we will only consider freelancers that have a good history on here and that can prove in their reply that they have an in depth knowledge of memcached - if you dont have this please dont waste our or your time

Well I propose we disable memcached altogether for a mement and I setup pagespeed on your server and then you check the load and performance of your websites. :) I bet you're going to love it. :) Having said that, I can look into memcached working as well if you really want the status quo to be intact. :) Please let me know :) Best, Kashif
