This project is to create a (Windows) utility that will scan a local (on the hard drive) mirror of a website (written in basic HTML), and generate a list of orphan files (files that are not linked or referenced by any other files). The user would browse to a file (usually [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view]), and the program would begin it's scan from that file.
Please note that it does NOT need to scan for broken links. There are lots of softwares that will do that.
It will have to scan to create a complete file list, and then scan the source codes to find the orphan files.
The list of orphan files should be in an HTML file, with a link to each orphan file it finds.
It must have an option to delete the "orphan files".
It must run under Windows XP and later. It's okay if it uses .NET framework, but only versions that work under Windows XP, and of course, you have to say which version is required. The programming language doesn't matter so long as it runs on Windows XP and later operating Systems
This is an easy project for someone who knows what they are doing. You must submit the source code as part of the project.
I have posted projects in the past that got bids for thousands of dollars, but were completed for just a few bucks. Please be competitive in your bidding.
