Hello there, What versions of Windows do you want this work on? DDE technology goes back to the olden days(16-bit Windows such as Win 3.11), and very rarely used nowadays. I specialise in C++ on Windows, and should be able to help you, should you be interested. I will have some initial questions , in all likelihood. So let's chat first?

for Analytical purpose, I can assure to be done very sophistically and future bug free using c++ highly modified C++ class can be use to read data from any live (current) excel file
