Part I. Smile and Frown face
Part II. Rotating Smile Face
1. Project Description:
Connect the 8x8 dot matrix display to the Arduino.
Be sure to ensure the mapping is appropriate to match the dot matrix map (diode positions) to the pinout of the Arduino and the pinout declarations in the software (row and column arrays).
Complete the interface by mapping the pinouts of the display and Arduino pins to the software row and column arrays as shown in class.
Part 1
1. Utilizing the 8x8 dot matrix display the smile face and then change the smile to a frown. Each position should remain for 2 seconds, then repeat.
Part 2
2. Utilizing the 8x8 dot matrix display the smile face and then rotate the face 90 degrees at a time until the face is back to the original position. Each position should remain for 2 seconds before the next rotation, then repeat. The face can be rotated clockwise or counter clockwise.
Provide the following:
a. Code listing.
There should be 2 code listings. One for part 1 and one for part 2.
b. Electronic Parts used:
Arduino
8x8 dot matrix
Resistors (recommended but optional)
c. Electronic picture of your setup.
Hello,
My name is Andrei, i am a Romanian IOT Developer with a lot of experience in IOT projects and automatics .
I am using Arduino all the time, for a moats part of my projects, i have reed your requirements and i want to ask you if you want a direct connected matrix display or with the circuit MAX7219 ?
I have at my workshop all the parts to make your project , clear design and clean code .
Derivable on the project :
Wiring diagram for prof of concept .
Arduino code explained every line .
As an additional service i can make you a full working prototype and ship to you.

Hello,
I am Anthony from Sri lanka. I have 7 years of experience in the filed and I am very much interested in your project.
I have the dot matrix display and arduino. I can create this and develop the code and demonstrate the functionality. Please send me the type of dot matrix display you are using. Or shall use my own hardware.
Why you should hire me ?
* As a full time freelancer I have my own PCB fabrication work shop and testing lab. So there is no problem doing live tests with you after the device has been developed.
* My workshop is equipped with CNC machine, FDM 3D printer and DLP 3D printer. So there is no problem designing and printing plastic parts you required.
Please contact me if you are interested. Thank you
Anthony
Hi dear,
I'm interested in the position of "Arduino Project" you recently posted, particularly being from Embedded Systems.
I have strong C/C++ skills and experience with microcontrollers (ARDUINO, STM32, PSoC Cypress).
I look forward to hearing from you soon — feel free to contact me directly to discuss the position further.
hello
i am a computer engineer,i have masters in computer engineering,i have experience
for more than 8 years in arduino and electronics
i have made a project before using dot matrix module so i can help u to make the required project
I can work out this code for you. I am having an common anode 8x8 LED Display module.
On our way to completing this smiley on the LED Display module using Arduino, I would
like to have feedback from you at regular intervals whether we are progressing in your
desired direction.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Best Wishes,
George .
Hello!
After reading your description, I interested to work with your project.
I have hardware for testing project.
And I have enough experience to make this project
Look forward to your answer.
Best regards.
I have done such projects with bare dot matrix directly connected to Arduino showing heart, smile, ...
It will be just the matter of creating the rotation arrays. Message me to send you the pictures
I am a research engineer, working with Arduino, different type of Motor Controllers and sensors, C/C++ and python programming languages on a daily basis.
I can write the arduino code for you and give a wiring diagram of the components within 2 days.
hello there.
this is a simple project , we can make some functions in the code , each function indicates a certain character (shape on the matrix) to improve readability and make it easy for the user to show all the characters without much knowledge of code.
I working with embedded and iot for 3 years. I alredy make many projects which are just like your project. So please give me chance to work with you. Thank you
