C# Windows Form App Find Closest Point

I need a small app created which has a class function that takes the parameters my input float X, float Y and an array of Points which is in another class. When called and returns the closest point xy to my input xy point.
I have an 2 float arrays xyPoint01 and xyPoint02 these two points consist of an X and Y coordinate.
I have an array "points" that consist of the xyPoint01 and xyPoint02.
I need a function that will allow me to input my x coordinate and y coordinate then loop through the float array of points and return the closest xy point to my input xy point. The function will need to be able to use many different array's not only the array points. For instance if I had another array called locations that is set up the same way as the array points it will need to be able to return the closest xy point within that array.
I hope I have explained that well enough if not feel free to ask me any questions.
