Hello coders I posted something similar but looks like it isn't a sql server issue but a C# programming issue. What I have is a sql server database full of basketball games. Each time a new game is inserted a new game id is assigned. The database is rather large and there are now over 270,000 games. I am able to run a report on the data each day but I noticed that certain things saved queries in the report were saying they should be listed when they shouldn't. After doing some testing I think I have figured out the problem but I dont know exactly how to fix it.
this line is in the report code and I think it is the word "contains" that is causing the problem.
if ([login to view URL](gameRecId + ";"))
So right now lets say that there was a game number 11223 and game number 112234, I think because we are using contains instead of something like exact match (I am not a coder so I dont know the lingo) it is showing me some matches that should be there. I want it to only show exact game id matches but dont know how to write that.
I hope that explains the problem, the job is basically to fix this problem I have by connecting to me via team viewer if you have questions, and honestly it could be as simple as just rewriting the line of code with contains to something that means exact.
I will be online for a little while if anyone has questions.
