Hi, I am c# developer, Having good exposure on win form, windows services, development, deployment and configuration. Instead of EXE I am suggesting you the SQL scheduler (Job) COM component it is also called as CLR Procedure. Also in sql there is built in timer there, no need to do custom code for every 1 hour timer. I have made same work for my client, He want to retrieve data from the FTP at particular time period, I have made it by using COM component, This can be easy for you to download and update data into SQL.
