Bill of quantities for a 2 storey house

Estimate the cost to complete the construction of the powder room, laundry, ensuite and bathroom to the 2 storey house plans I will supply. Assume all the framing is complete, the building is at ‘lock up’ stage and all plumbing, drainage and electrical has been roughed in. The completion of the work is to be considered one project. Specification Notes: 1. External windows and doors are installed 2. Allow the following prime cost items: • Toilet suites $600.00 each • Shower bases $500.00 each • Vanity 600 wide $350.00 each • Tub $250.00 each • Vanity 1200 wide $600.00 each • Bath 1675mm $750.00 each • Tapware $1000.00 • Fittings $600.00 • Floor tiles $40.00 per m2 • Wall tiles $30.00 per m2 You will need to calculate the quantities of materials required, including wastage, to complete the rooms and the labor hours for each item. All work will be completed by sub-contract labor employed on hourly rates of pay. Some tasks can be estimated as a lump sum where appropriate. All material and labor costs include relevant taxes and you are to allow a builders margin of 12% on the nett cost of construction. The estimate is to be structured on a trade order and each trade separately costed. A summary page is to be prepared and the builder’s margin added to the net total cost.
