Cloud Systems Administrator (Azure)

The company I work for is dedicated to using the latest technology, and keeping their staffs skill set ahead of the game. Due to a recent change in IT strategy, my client have moved to the Azure cloud platform. An essential part of this role will be to managing those services already hosted in Azure and working to move other services across. The role As System Administrator you will be provide assistance to my clients internal support and development teams, maintaining software and hardware, and ensuring that all systems are kept fully secure and up-to-date. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be required to participate with the on-call rota, providing cloud hosting, network and infrastructure administration. Key duties and responsibilities: · At least 2+ years commercial experience of Windows servers and network administration of Azure cloud hosted services · Administration of Windows server based service, managing backups, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting · Azure cloud management including monitoring, securing and maintaining) and working with other internal teams to move other services to Azure hosting (from a hardware solution) · Solid communication between internal support teams and operations & development teams · Give timely responses to internal queries and ensure that all tasks are scheduled and deadlines met · Plan and manage code releases, ensuring minimal downtime or customer disruption · Be responsible for patching and firmware updates on all managed systems · Be part of the on-call team, providing system cover in the evenings and weekends If you are looking for a fantastic opportunity with a market leading company then please send your CV to and I will then contact you to discuss more in detail.
