Hi I’m Ross, head Engineer and Manager for MSL Studio. I have recorded, mixed, produced and mastered material for clients over the last 10 years. My studio’s work has involved: Creating instrumental music, jingles for advertising campaigns, recording bands, duos and solo performers and teaching production and electronic music to students. Editing recorded material and optimising sound quality. Synchronising audio to picture, writing to a brief producing music backing tracks for performers and artists and creating the final mixdown for artist recordings. Arranging and editing music for use with dance and theatre.
I have worked with: Koolism, Axe Aklins, Hancock Basement, Raw City Ruckus, The Curve, Kodak, IExist, Afraid you’ll fall. I have also produced music for clients such as: Department of Immigration, Tom’s superfruits, Mudgee RSL, Ellison Finance and several short and feature length films.
I also work at the national film and sound archive or Australia where I manage a team of 7 studios with the primary goal of ingesting digitised analogue material. A large portion of this requires restoration and editing, therefore I have broad experience in audio editing, enhancement, restoration and production at a very high level.
