Add some code to existing VB6 project (IF....THEN Statement)

Hello I have two pretty straight forward Windows desktop programs (written in VB6) which 'process' files (the 'process' is not important) and which have exactly the same Front End (GUI), but each program does the file processing in a different way. I would like to have ONE Desktop program that can do both the processes and which can automatically decide which process to use depending on the result of doing the 1st process method (we can call it the default method) on the file(s) it has to process. I know how to do this, so this is not the challenge or request. The request is to write the code to make the program make these decisions. There are only two main decisions for the program to make and these are pretty straight forward and an easy decision for the new program and should only require some If and Then statements. Here are the new coding details to achieve what I need: We simply run the default process first, i.e. the 'default' method (I will tell you more about this later if you need to know but this is not actually important - the 'process' is simply calling an external executable to run on the files). Once the file is processed the program decides what to do next based on the result of that processes success or failure. So, we run the default process and..... If the processed file size IS less than 60% then CONTINUE with that process as normal,.. (i.e. the process was a success and will END as normal) IF it was NOT a success THEN GOTO 'the other process' (lets call it the 2nd process) and process the file using that process method (i.e. IF the processed file size is NOT less than the original file size by 60% THEN GOTO 'the 2nd process' and use that process to do the job) OR... IF the 'default' process fails with an Exception error (i.e. the file causes the program to generate an Exception error THEN GOTO 'the 2nd process' and use that process to do the job) That's it! I hope this makes sense? Please feel free to ask any questions. I will of course send you all the code you need for the two programs and of course sample files that will cause the desired 'errors' for purposes of testing the new code logic (i.e. a file that will cause the Exception error and one which does not become less than 60% smaller file size), so that you can test that your coding works. So, summary: As I said: all the code to do all the processing works fine, I just need to bring the '2nd process' code (which BTW is just one line) into the 'default process' program code so that it can perform both the processes based on the logic stated above. So we will end up with ONE program that will perform the 'default process' 1st and use the 2nd process if it needs to, i.e. based on the logic above. Thank you. Regards Greg
