Project Description We need a flexible ip camera system with a graphical user interface based on the raspberry pi and a onvif ip camera. The system has to display multiple live streams from connected cameras with low latency and an user interface with additional settings and functions. As additional part a client for Windows 7/8 to access the camera system has to be implemented. Work items / Functional requirements The Project consists of 6 major parts: 1. Basic Functionality: - We need a raspberry image that boots into a GUI that displays and manages our ip cameras. 2. GUI / Screens - The graphical user interface consists of several screens to display a different amount of cameras at once (e.g. 1, 2, 4). - The GUI should be controllable via touchscreen, mouse 3. Interfaces - The system should also be controllable by external systems via TCP JSON & RS232 interface - The GPIOs from the raspberry pi should be used to detect a +12V signal and switch the camera mode to a defined setup 4. Alarm System - The camera provides a motion detection function via SDK (see more details below). This function should be used to implement an alarm system, that will recognize motion in any of the connected cameras and starts recording the stream from the alarmed camera. - There has to be a simple feature to watch the recorded streams, that allows to view the alarm recordings in an intelligent way. - The recordings should be transferable to an external usb stick. 5. Settings - There a various settings, that the user can access e.g. camera settings, alarm settings, video settings, etc. 6. Client for Windows 7 / 8 - Basically the client on windows should display exactly the same as the software on the raspberry like the description so far. For ease a web client on the raspberry can be implemented, but the performance of the raspberry may need a native implementation and so a native client on windows is necessary. Technical requirements Important: The stream is transfered via RTSP (Real-Time-Streaming-Protocol) and is encoded by the camera with H.264. It is very important that the latency of the displayed live image is as low as possible (at least below 0.5 sec). For the development you need a raspberry pi model b+ and a onvif camera with the Hi3518(e) chip. If you don't have a camera with this chip, we could send you one or more for the development. For testing you should be able to upload the raspberry pi img-file during the development phase, that we can download and test it at our office. Software: - The GUI has to have a modern look, perfect would be a animated one. - The bootup-time of the system should be less than 20 sec. - Prefered Framework: Qt Hardware: Camera: IP-camera (with DHCP-Client), RTSP, onvif, Hi3518(e) DSP + SDK, lens from 40 to 180 degrees, most lenses would be have 170 degree, but we write a hint in the camera memory, which lens is build in, that information can be read out via onvif. Cameras have some settings that could / has to be configured via SDK (SDK is from the camera's chip Hi3518(e) from company HiSilicon). The cameras are connected via lan. Host-System: Standard raspberry pi with a OS of your choice. Graphical User Interface should be displayed via hdmi output.
