Hi, how are you. I'm expert in computer programming with more than 15 years behind me in various business and financial systems. Can you share some more info about current system and documentation that exists including code comments. As for your request to bid per line of code that's really not possible, and not how documenting works. Few lines of code could take days to sort our and understand and other few seconds.

My first language is English. I majored in both Financial Accounting and IT. I am good with math and algorithms. Although I am new here in freelancer.com, I can furnish references of people that I have worked with and those that have hired me as a freelance/independent contractor. I have more than 20 years of experience as a: Developer, Functional and Business Analyst, Project Manager. I have done similar work - analyzing and documenting code written in Cobol and Assembler (batch and on-line CICS). I have been working an independent consultant/contractor since 1992. I am sort of a perfectionist and always want to deliver top-notch work. Based on your additional explanation, my estimate is 0.50 cents per line of code in the procedure division. Since you did not give an idea of how many programs there are and how many lines of code there are, the total amount I have given does not seem to be relevant. The number of days is also not relevant since estimated days depends on how many programs/how many lines of code. I updated my bid to 0.50cents per line of code as a Perform is 1 line of code and can be complex. There is also no proposed milestones since amount of work is not known. Please disregard milestones entry. Freelancer does not see to allow removal of it. I am not an agency. I am an individual with more than 25 years of Cobol/Batch/Online experience.

I have very good knowledge on COBOL language. I worked for leading financial institute for may years. So i can deliver this very effectively.

I have a Group ( I am not agent) of People in Brazil very experienced in COBOL working for Bank companies, our price is very compatible with the quality and responsabilities. I would like to know more informations about the JOB to calculate the price per line and I am sure that we can work together. P.S.
