Hi, I want to design a temperature and humidity sensor network (two sensors enough). The sensor should measure temperature and humidity and log these results using raspberry pi. Also, R-pi should compress the results using compression algorithm and transmit over wireless network (bluetooth or Internet). I have attached base paper here that gives compression scheme. One sample compression MATLAB code also attached here. I'd be happy if somebody can load MATLAB in R pi and do processing. I need this thing to be completed in one week to show to my project guide. Summary of project required 1. Sense the temp and humidity using sensor 2. Log and compress the data 3. Send it over wireless network (bluetooth, wifi or zigB) 4. Receive at other end (on a PC or any custom shield) Thanks.

I can provide an implementation for your code. I see no point in loading MATLAB in raspberry pi. We can implement LZW algorithm in python and run it on the R-pi.

I'm an Electrical Engineer in Communications and Electronics. I have experience in micro-controllers programming, including PIC and AVR. Additionally I have worked with Arduino (I own one) and Raspberry-pi boards and have designed many PIC-based boards for solving specific industry tasks and several independent projects. Also I have a lot of experience working with MATLAB (more than 5 years) so the project should not be so complicated. If you could explain the project more deeply or give me the logical requirements then I could give you a more precise schedule and help you with the design and development.
