Develop iPython SciPy, Scikit, Matplotlib code to analyze forum postings and interpret results -- 2

I am conducting a research study to examine what variables influence the success of a popular set of online discussion communities. In order to complete this task, it is necessary to analyse the sites using mathematical models by downloading the raw data that is made available by the organization. We will need to use Python and use the following packages: 1. XML – extracting the XML files content 2. SciPy, scikit – data split, inferential and predictive analysis 3. Matplotlib – data visualization The first step of confirming the approach, tool to be used, rough initial analysis, and documenting the approach/tool/initial analysis will need to be completed in one day. The remainder of the project will have a further two weeks to complete as long as daily progress updates are provided. Earlier completion is preferred. Factors behind success or otherwise will need to be identified using quantitative analysis. The methods used to conduct the quantitative analysis will need to be documented in detail. Factors could include the number of users contributing regularly, the time taken to respond to questions, the number of responses per question, the length of the response per question, the number of upvotes per question, number of questions per day, percentage of questions answered, composition of users, and the number of visitors per day. The findings of the quantitative analysis will also need to be documented in detail and the conclusions need to be well-justified. Any shortcomings in the methods used will need to be explained. SQL queries, source code, and any other material will need to be made available in full. Tools used will need to made in consultation with me as I will also need to be familiar with the tool. In order to efficiently process all the data, we will need to use Amazon Web Services. A detailed research proposal is available and can be supplied on request.
