Overview:
This project involves database architecture and design, debugging, scripting, and coding. Creation of PHP pages that connect seamlessly to website and database. Design, architect, and build a backend control panel with a user friendly interface.
Experience:
Talented Programmer Required
Must have the following: 5 years minimum experience designing, architecting, and building databases. PHP MySQL. Debug, testing, coding & scripting. Rsync or equivalent. Web communication security.
Architecture:
Web server – Linux (It might be prudent to select a language that will allow us to compile the server software to run on window boxes. (Your thoughts please)
Clients - Personal computer, all windows operating systems from WinXP onwards.
Job Description:
This project may need a separate software developer and web designer, depending on the skills of the appointed programmer. Please state in your application what tasks you can accomplish to a professional level.
Software
Client desktop application - Write or modify backup software, using existing software (rsync or equivalent). Must include secure web communication. Minimum functionality; clients select files and programs to backup daily. (please submit any ideas or recommendations)
Write server software application including backend control panel, to integrate database and website. Server application tasks are laid out in more detail which will be made available to interested parties after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
Database (Website backend)
Build a database which stores clients login information etc. (Is the server application and database one or separate software?)
Website Design
Create a professional, uncluttered company’s website with web pages for home, information, pricing, quote, testimonials, contact and any others that you/we deem necessary. Page content will be provided however as this is a new company identity, logo and graphics will need to be designed. This task will either be your responsibility or ours, depending on the successful applicant skills.
Create the necessary interface between the database and server software.
