Code Chnage for an existing tool

Changes to the As-Built Viewer tool to open As-Built drawings in PDF format instead of the JPEG format. The tool currently uses an Imageviewer applet to open the JPEGs stored on the network. But, the new workflow of the tool should use Adobe Acrobat to open PDF files in the AsBuilt Form window instead of using the applet.

Workflow of As-Built Viewer Tool : When this tool is enabled and the user clicks on an As-Built polygon (symbolized as grey polygons in the attached mxd image), a list of As-Built drawings that are available for that water main appear in a separate window with the data related to the As-Built feature class.? When the user clicks on each drawing number, the image should open the PDF files in the lower part of the form. The As-Built drawings are PDF files stored on a network [url removed, login to view] nework path for the As-Bulit PDFs is set in a config file. Settings for the config file are attached in "[url removed, login to view]".

The existing tool is written in C# .Net and ArcObjects. The tool is? currently works within ArcMap 9.2. The As-Built viewer tool opens two different forms of drawings, As-Built drawings and Construction Drawings. If an as-built is not found in a certain area, the tool askes the user if they want to see a construction drawing and then opens a PDF format construction drawing. There are only few construction drawings and are stored on the network. The Drawing attributes are stored in an Access database. The only part that needs changed in the workflow of the tool is the way it opens As-Built drawings.

I can show a demo of the tool for a more clear picture of the its functionality. Other sample data will be sent after bid acceptance. Attached is the code and screenshots of the tool.

## Deliverables

The tool should work with ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 and 9.3. But, the current testing environment will be 9.2. This request is only to change the As-Built drawings portion of the tool. The Construction Drawings portion of the tool should need no chnage and should be working as earlier.

Someone who is proficient in C# .Net and ArcObjects should be able to get this done in a matter of couple of days. If you don't have the complete ArcGIS platform to get the tool running, I will do the testing on my end and can let you know the results or give you remote desktop connection access.
