Create a browser toolbar that will
1) Connect to a URL and retrieve parameters from an XML file
Parameters will include: 1 URL for processing, 3 MD5 strings and 1 server name/URL to post results to
2) Connect to the 1st URL retrieving the HTML only. It should use all HTML headers (accept encoding, browser type etc) of the surfers real web browser (mimics loading from actual surfer).
3) Perform MD5 on HTML retrieved. Check MD5 against first MD5 retrieved in the XML parameters If MD5 matches end execution.
4) If MD does not match convert \r\n to \n and run MD5 again. Compare to 2nd MD5 parameter. If MD5 Match end execution
5) If MD5 did not match 2nd attempt strip all non ASCII characters and run MD5 comparing to 3rd MD5 parameter. On match end execution
6) If none of the MD5's matched send HTML to processing server (from XML parameters) as HTTP post (base64 encoded)
Browser toolbar should contain the following options
1) Button to execute action listed above (execute once)
2) Execution scheduler (set maximum number of URLs to process over defined time (defaults to 1 every 5 minutes) This could also be coded as number of seconds to wait between processing events.
3) Button to disable / pause & restart automatic processing
4) Optional username: password to submit with XML request and result processing (saved in toolbar)
5) Option to connect to URL to display information/help/upgrades
Toolbar execution should run background and should NOT effect users performance (runs at low priority)
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Toolbar should run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista in IE 6.0+.
Porting to Firefox may be requested as a secondary project/bonus. Project should be written with future porting to Firefox in mind.
