Contact Management System With Access Database

This is a fun project to use simple code for A beginner in Visual Basic 6.0 to understand. Connecting Visual Basic (VB) to Data Files PART I: Create a Microsoft Access database with the following fields: · ID Number · Date Added · Last Name · First Name and Middle Initial · Address (2 lines) · City · State · ZIP Code · Telephone Number 1 · Telephone Number 2 · Fax Number · E-mail Address a. Index the database on the ID Number and Last Name + First Name, so that the database can be searched by ID or Name. When Name of individual found, display related photo as well.(10 photos are included with this program) b. Write a Visual Basic program that can add, update, and delete records in the Microsoft Access database. When querying database have records alphabetically in order. c. Enter 10 different records.(Names to be taken from photos' names) Save Part one so that It can run Separately from the rest of the program. PART II: Add the following fields: · Lead Source · Next appointment (time, day of week, date, place, purpose) · A notes area a. Pick state's two-letter abbreviation from list of states. b. Pick lead source from a list (radio, TV, magazine ad, 1-800, etc.). c. Print a report by date or range of dates with the following detail: · Name · Next appointment (time, day of week, date, place, purpose). · Add a menu. Save Part one and two so that they can run Separately from the rest of the program. Add the following functionality to the Contact Management System : PART III: · Do not allow overlapping appointments. · Allow searching by Name or Next Appointment Date. · Update menu. Save Part one, two and three so that they can run Separately from the rest of the program. Finalize the Contact Management System. PART IV: · Enter ZIP codes and bring up City and State (use a database of 20 possible ZIP codes). · Add a calculator and a calendar. · Update menu Save and run the whole program.
