Basic server upgrades (linux)

I am currently in the position to have to administer my web server alone again. I have a small business that has been run by volunteers for several years now. I am seeking someone who can assist me with the following: Linux OS upgrade (latest version) - running Mandrake 9.0 currently would like 10.2 or latest Mandriva - installing a GUI (The last guy removed it for no reason) - showing me the simple upgrade processes so that I may become self sufficient from this poiint on PHP updates/upgrades - running 4.x.x (can look it up, but it is an early v.4 I do know) - installing the latest version and turning on specific modules - same as above...I need some simple explainations to getting this done myself in the future. Once these are done I should be able to point/click myself around a little better. I catch on quick so a little insight will go a long way if I am shown the process. I am on a VERY low budget, but with the simplicity of these I think it will suffice. I am very interested in being able to manage these thing myself, but do to the fact that I am limited in linux knowledge and the last person that managed it just quit and won't help with these few things I am stuck. I also do not want to risk 'playing' with it and crashing the box and all of our websites that are using it. I am sure to an experienced linux person this is a few minutes work (no more than an hour for sure) and I probably look like an idiot asking for simple things like this...:) In addition to a small amount of pay I am more than willing to offer referals and banner ads on one of my well frequented sites as a bonus. I am big on helping people out when I have the knowledge and would love the same in return. Thanks, Chris
