I'm converting from Sage SBT Pro 5.0 (An older accounting package) to Quickbooks 2009.
I have about 15 files in .DBF v2 format, that I need converted to Quickbooks IIF format.
Files include all of the standard types, including Vendors, Customers, Chart of Accounts, Transactions (POs, Sales Orders, Payments, etc...)
If it's easier, I can also run reports from the old software package that can help with the conversion
## Deliverables
Example input files are included. I went through the process for Chart of Accounts to generate an IIF file.
I can also provide the input files in Microsoft Access rather than the original DBF files.
I see this project in three phases:
1) High-level requirements - Agree on the 'transaction types' that will be imported. I.E. Vendors, Customers, Sales Orders, Items, Bill of Materials, etc. Please see Quickbooks documentation for more details.
2) Detailed requirements - Agree on the field mapping from the old software to Quickbooks. There may be some fields that don't fit, or are not stored in quickbooks for example.
3) Construction - data import into Quickbooks
---------------------------------------------------
It's fine to manually enter some of the data into Quickbooks if it makes sense.
