**Hi, I have an online photo gallery and I would like to add the following functionality:**
I will upload a picture to my server using a graphic interface and a software you will program and that will run on my server will recognize the different colors on the picture and **determine which are the most predominant colors.
**
**Example:**
I will upload this picture
![][1]
Software will recognize that the color composition of the picture is: 80% purple, 10% Green and 8% Yellow and 2% others.
Then it will tag the picture with the above information and feed a database with it.
Once the database has been fed with the pictures with color tags, then the final user will go to my website, upload a picture of his own and the same software will recognize the predominant colors on his picture, tag the picture and search on my picture database for colors that are either close to the color % on the tags or are on the opposite spectrum (to get a combining and a contrasting pallete) and present the user with a list of pictures from the database that match the search criteria.
That's it. Functionality will be similar to that of [login to view URL]
Please watch a 1 minute screencast [here][2] to see how kuler works
Click [here][3] to see the graphic algorithm for the first user (person who will feed the database)
Click [here][4] to see the graphic algorith for the end user (person to which the matching results will be presented)
Questions welcome.
