This is part one of a Very Big project. This part deals with capturing local companies' information into a database. The information includes Company name and Address, Website and Email Address, Executive Names and Job Titles, Agencies and Activities List, Telephone and Fax Numbers, Logo and Additional advertisements. Other information may include # of branches, Group Name, and Number of employees in the company.
The capturing process is to be performed online. The information needs to go in an ONLINE database. Amongst capabilities needed:
1- create/delete and edit users.
2- set prevlieges to users.
3- add/update/delete records
4- reporting records.
The database is to hold a lot of tables. For example: Cities Table, so that when the company's details are captured, the city name is selected froma drop down. Same goes with .. The Executive Job Title. When executive names and job titles are captured, the job title is selected froma drop down list., etc.
We will provide a sample SNAPSHOT of what the screen may look like, and we will specifically say how those smaller tables are created. We will provide all technical and logical specifications.
The capturing process will involve Arabic Characters are well as English. therefore, it is necessary that the Page be loaded with Character Set 1256 I believe for viewing Arabic, and it is also necessary for the database to hold Arabic charcters correctly.
Operating System, Language, etc. is to be left to the choice of the developer. We are very flexible since this is a PART 1 of a very big project.
Since this is a Back Office Operation, capturing of company's details, we are therefore very flexible on the tools used for capturing, but one must keep in mind that this should be secured in a database to prevent others downloading it nad maybe benefiting from its contents.
