Convert CAF Audio to Flash-Friendly Format (on Server)

I need some PHP code that will take a CAF audio file on my Linux server and convert it to a format that a Flash-based audio control can play (which I think means MP3?). I have FFMPG installed on my server if that will help. If there's another utility I'd need to install that shouldn't be a problem. I don't need any kind of interface from you, I'll do that -- I just can't figure out how to get the CAF file to convert to MP3.
