We have customers who use ftp and we want to simplify the experience for them and make it so that our customers have platform independent access to our ftp site via any browser of their choosing.
In other words - I need a few web pages created that can log in to an ftp site (using the credentials provided by the client) and then allow the client to perform basic ftp functions: ? 1. view their directory 2. move around into subdirectories and back up 3. upload files 4. download files
I believe those 4 are the only things needed, but I ma need to add some other functionality.?
The pages should have the ability to do a manual refresh at the client's request. ? It should also be intuitive and easy to use.
The site you put together as well as the final output needs to be completely platform independent. ? The final output should be usable in every major browser (IE 7.0, IE 6.0, Firefox 2.0-2.x, Firefox 1.5, Safari 41, Firefox 1.0)
You're welcome to do this in just about any standard that the internet permits for standard unix servers (no .net or microsoft specific proposals will be accepted)
the server we use is unix based and perl, html, mysql, xml & php are acceptable. ? If you want to use something besides these you'll need to submit that to me for approval.
The project obviously involves both design and programming. ? The programming portion is the most important to us. ? If you are a good designer that's a bonus, but it's not required - we can always have it re-designed by a professional. ? So concentrate on the coding.
However, if you decide to put a lot of effort into the design and we like it then we will bonus you.
