Distance to Server What it does: This greasemonkey script calculates the distance between the user and the webpage they are looking at. It does this by finding the IP address of the user and the IP address of the server being hit. From this it finds each IP address' latitude and longitude, then calculates the distance between the two points. What is needed: We have the script that grabs the user's IP, and we have the script that calculates the distance between coordinates (see attached file). We just need the part that grabs the server's IP and the part that find the coordinates of the IP addresses. What is expected: Clean readable code. The project will be open source after all (developer will, of course, be credited) so no crazy variable names or convoluted code. The script should be easy to read and formatted properly. Please send examples of previous work.
