Display products on Front Page Magento Modules

Hello here are the needs of the Project: We need two extensions or modules to have the ability to activate products in the front page (promos and new products), let me explain you how we want to do it. First Module (PROMOTIONS) Right now we have 8 promo products in the front page (as you can see in the image 1), actually we have simple HTML to modify this products, so we need an area where i can add a product from the catalog with the Product ID and put start and end date to activate that product, also we want to be able to change the position of the promotional product on the front page. On the front page I want to display the image, name of the product and Price, I would like to be able to modify the color, size and alignment of the name and Price on the CSS file. In the admin screen of this module we want to see the list of the promotional products past, currently active and future programed to be display, we would reserve the option to delete expired promotional items. We want to have the access for this module on the catalog menu (see image 2) Second Module (NEW PRODUCTS) Right now we have 5 new products in the front page (as you can see in the image 3), actually we have simple HTML to modify this products, so we need an area where i can add a product from the catalog with the Product ID and put start and end date to activate that product, also we want to be able to change the position of the new product on the front page and we need an extra field where I can write a label (Tittle). As a diference from the first extension I only want to display the image and the new label of the product on the front page. In the admin screen of this module we want to see the list of the new products past, currently active and future programed to be display, we would reserve the option to delete expired promotional items. We want to have the access for this module on the catalog menu (see image 4) Note: We want the easiest way to develop this modules, if you think that is better to develop the two modules in to one module it´s ok for us.
