add 365 ''day advent calendar'' to blog

I need to add an advent calendar to this blog

in which either the word and or the image appears in the daily window. I am not sure about the technical and administrative requirements for this host.

At the moment, if a person clicks on my blog they see a headline, a history of the word in text and an image.

What I would like them to see is an image(to be decided) with 1-30 little squares like an Advent calendar. On the relevant day they will click on the right square and see the history of the word.

Technically if it is possible, it might be an idea to put the present image from my blog into the appropriate square in the calendar so eg Jan might have

1 pic of cat 2 pic of tree 3pic of dog

If today is the 3rd of Jan they click on the dog and see the history of the hidden word.
