Automatic Image Manipulator (AIM)

We have some servers that our staff put photos onto. These photos are too big and only need to have a maximum size of 800x600 dpi. Getting users to re-size the images themselves does not work. They are too lazy and often put photos that are 5Mb and larger on the server. We want a Windows service that can be started on Windows 2003 servers that continually watches for the addition/creation of image files. When the service sees a new image file, it will reduce the size of the image straight away automatically to 800dpi width or another size selected by the user. I have worked out how this can be done and need someone to compile the solution into a Windows service. The service and general name of the program will be “AIM?? for Automatic Image Manipulator. Form here on in the project will be referred to as “AIM?? ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform BASIC COMPONENTS OF AIM I would like to have the solution comprise of 3 main parts: 1. INSTALLER - an installer for the project that creates the service and install the application gui 2. GUI - a gui with forms for setting various settings that the service will use 3. SERVICE - the Windows 2003 service itself. (The service and GUI should be able to be installed on Windows XP Pro, Vista (all versions), Windows 2003 Server)
