Asia Observer ([login to view URL]) is a portal to Asia – with news, guide, and forums.
The site was relaunched in January and runs on Joomla CMS. The site is growing and currently has about 1000 visitors daily.
We now need a new webmaster.
The main tasks of the webmaster will be maintaining and developing the site:
This involves:
• Ensuring efficient technical running of the site, including immediately solving any problems bringing the site down.
• Installing and adjusting components, modules and mambots in Joomla.
• Improving the services of the site according to suggestions from site owner and members.
• Develop new functionalities and services.
This will be an ongoing relationship with a three-month trial period. Pricing will preferably be on a montly basis, but we would also be willing to consider a per-hour-agreement.
Estimated workload would be 10-20 hours per week.
Asia Observer is run as a hobby project by the site owner, and the web master currently is the only paid staff. We thus require a person who is very independent, hardworking and creative. You will have the opportunity to put your personal stamp on a site that is growing.
You must know Joomla CMS very well and be able to document experience in developing sites under this framework.
Referring to the content of the site we would prefer bidders from Asian countries.
