A relatively simple Youtube.com website

We'll be building the Turkish version of Youtube, with basic features only. MySQL database and PHP will be used in order to benefit from Apache's URL rewrite application. In terms of video manipulation, all i need is the video to be uploaded to our ftp server with an anonymous account. No video processing is needed. Please check out the attached file so that you may have an idea of what the design will look like. Please keep in mind that this is a draft and may need to be altered/updated according to the upcoming needs. ## Deliverables 1- Guests can watch the videos, but they need to register to vote and comment about them. 2- Username and e-mail will be asked for basic registration. Membership will be activated by clicking on the link sent to the given e-mail. 3- Additional information that user may choose to enter is: Date of birth, City (pull down menu), Gender, education (primary school, high school, undegrad, graduate) 4- Once registered, the member can upload his/her videos. Allowed file formats (zip, avi, wmv) and file size (50 MB) is enforced through the script. (Not javascript) 5- During upload process, user is also asked to submit the length of the video in minutes, up to 10 keywords related to the content of the video, short description of the video (250 characters max) and the name of the video (150 characters max). 5- Once approved by the admin, video is available to the visitors. The member is informed via e-mail either it is approved, or declined by the website administrator. Admin can block a user from sending new videos, delete a user or modify each field submitted by any member. (Including keywords, title and description of the videos) 6- Registered users can share their opinions on the video display page. They can also vote in a scale from 1 to 10. Each member can vote only once, and the average grade for each video is displayed immediately underneath the video window. 7- Homepage will include the top four videos and the links to the following pages: (Newest 10 videos, Top 10 videos, Top 10 members, Top 10 keywords, register, forgot password, contact us, suggest to a friend) 8- Members can send messages to each other. Once logged on, the exclusive member links are: My profile, Messages, My videos and Send video. 9- Video display screen will include the links mentioned above, and a larger video screen on the center of the page. Also an HTML code for visitors to embed this video to their websites will be provided. That's pretty much it! Once approved, we'll have a MSN chat with the prospective coder prior to coding process to cover all grey areas. 10) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 11) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 12) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
