Data transfer between alerton controlers and web-page(web-application) in javascript/PHP

We are an automation company. We use alerton's controllers and right now we track information given by the controller using a software from alerton. Because of the limitations of desktop softwares we want a web application that makes a request to the alerton controller's ip(send data),if the request is received and processed from the controller then the controller will send back the results of the process in a human readable format (or data type)(e.g. int, double, String etc.) Besides we need to periodically update the information we request from the controller (near every sec.). Also the technologies we want to use are Javascript and/or PHP. Furthermore we don't want page reload. So if it's not possible with Javascript only you could use Ajax(xmlHTTPRequest) to fetch the php page(application). ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform We want the web-application to be compatible with Windows Internet Explorer 5+, Firefox 1+ for Windows and Mac, Safari 2+ for mac, Opera 7+ for windows, linux and mac, netscape 6+ for windows and linux
