Mission Statement: *[login to view URL] is a used book exchange site, where users can share feedback about course, professors, and textbooks to create a better book buying experience.*
At it's core, [login to view URL] is a website through which people can sell used textbooks and other literature. Much in the way a social networking site operates, each user has their own profile page and then, there is a general market place where the person can go to search for the book he wants.
There are a few parameters that one can search for a textbook by, for example book name, course number, name of author, subject, etc. These parameters will be discussed with the coder in detail. The site in essence would operates similarly to Craig's List or [login to view URL] (on a much smaller scale) - except instead of handling shipping, the site will email a seller directly when someone shows interest in purchasing a given product. The buyer and seller will then facilitate their own exchange outside of the site.
**
Additional Functionality Required Includes:**
- Sellers can upload an image of the textbook cover for the book being sold
- Users can leave comments on books and users (at their respective pages)
- Sellers are able to rate textbooks, courses (linked to that textbook), and professors (linked to those courses), etc. (Scale of 1 - 5)
- Buyers that create a profile for an existing book should be referred back to the textbook's already existing page (by ISBN)
- Book pages contain listings for all people selling that book (listed by price, edition and quality)
