This project is a small project intended to find a coder who I can work with long-term. The website is [[login to view URL]][1] and has been created in php and mysql I am looking for someone who can do all manner of changes, but as a first, roughly stand-alone project, the task would be: 1) To create a system which allows merchants (advertisers) to upload a product data feed into our system (the tables to contain the data already exist, as well as some of the functionality to use the data, but at the moment we need to ask all merchants to make the feed in the same CSV format with all fields in the same order) 2) I would also be looking for the successful candidate to suggest other changes that need to be made and quote to make those changes, based on a fee per mini-project Most projects (including this one) are not time-critical ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). The task is as follows: 1) The first page of this system would ask the merchant the http address of their data feed, and whether it was xml or CSV, tab delimited, etc. and how often they would like the feed refreshed (eg every 3 hours, daily, weekly), plus an option to 'ignore first X lines of feed' and say which cataegory the products fall into A button at the bottom would say 'Next' 2) The next page would then load in the data feed and show the first couple of lines in a format like rows on an Excel spreadsheet, with a drop-down at the top for the merchant to select which field that column belongs to, eg: Price DeliveryTime Manufacturer Offer_Code Offer_image 1.99 Next day Nokia N123 http://... 4.99 Next day Nokia N222 http://... 9.99 Next day Nokia N999 http://... Not all the fields in the feed would necessarily be used A button at the bottom would say 'Next' 3) The final page would then upload the field into our database and report if there were any errors, and also the number of fields uploaded 4) There would need to be an 'edit' function for merchants to be able to edit a feed once set up as above (eg change the frequency, change the URL, change the order of the fields) 5) The system should also allow people to manually upload a feed from an Excel file held on their hard drive 6) Finally, can you please include in the pages notes about the specification of the file format required e.g. like froogle <[login to view URL]> that tells people about forbidden characters, etc Please see below for some examples of data feeds from our merchants:[[login to view URL]][2] Here is an example of an XML feed: <[login to view URL]> ## Platform php mysql see attached file for the main tables that already exist
