desktop management applet

I'm in need of a desktop applet which I use in conjunction with my desktop support business. It has the following features: -Users can submit a service request to a website, which communicates via SSL/web services to my web site. I'd like this screen to be available by double clicking on an icon in the system tray. -Unattended remote support is activated/deactivated (simple change of single registry key) -Local network information is stored (IPs for router, wireless AP, gateway, DNS, etc) and a network status screen shows which of these locations are pingable, and whether DNS resolution is working. -System inventory is periodically conducted, by a programmable time interval. I use OCSInventory for this feature, but would be open to other leaner solutions. I believe these are securely transmitted to the website in CSV and parsed into a database. - Startup items in the registry and BHOs are surveyed and posted up to website as well at a programmable time interval. The good news is all of this is already written - in VB - so you'll have a functional prototype including my (sloppy) code to work from, although the screen designs and organization may vary slightly. I'd like to have it converted to a single executable, without any dependancies on .NET. So I'd like it to be in Delphi or VC++6, but open to alternatives (except .NET!) Also keep in mind that the web site end is already created, so you'll be communicating with PHP web services already built. I'm happy to modify them to fit our needs, but creating them is not part of this job. UPDATE - screens from VB app attached. Code can be provided as well upon selection. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Platform will be XP only.
